Do the Math and Whirligigs. It’s Global Wind Day!

Posted on 13 June 2013 by e-news

Correction: Do the Math, the movie:

7.30pm, Thursday 20 June

ck_wt_fossilfuels_22This movie, which has become an Australian phenomenon, is coming to the Theatre Royal next Thursday at 7.30pm
(NOT 7pm as we previously advertised).

In 2006, An Inconvenient Truth helped spark a new wave of concern about global warming. Now, the film is creating not just concern, but action around the growing movement to take on the fossil fuel industry.

It’s a fundraiser for MASG and we’d love to see you there!

So, by all means come at 7pm, enjoy a hot chocolate or something stiffer, and wait for the film to start at 7.30pm.

Global Wind Day

Saturday 15 June, 11am, Wesley Hill Market

Come along to Wesley Hill market for a ‘flash mob’ in support of wind energy! This event will be an opportunity to showcase our community’s enthusiasm for clean, renewable energy and will be part of over 250 events happening across the world on Global Wind Day.  We’re encouraging you to wear bright colours and bring any wind-related props along (wind socks, pin wheels, small kites).  If you don’t have any – you can make them there!

We will have pin-wheel making activities from 9.30am.

Bring your kids along to join in the craft activities!

Pinwheels!! Whooo whooo!!!
