Once again we hosted an information packed day and we were lucky enough to have it be stunningly beautiful as well.
Each of the the four homes featured different methods of sustainable building. This year we had a rammed earth and a mud brick house, each with permaculture gardens in development. We also had a low cost house built for a person with low mobility and an existing house that was improved substantially in its star rating.
The panel discussion at the end of the day was a collection of perspectives around eco-housing and affordability. Three members of the Mount Alexander Eco-housing Group spoke to us and we had a very helpful presenteation by Mick Lewin (MASG committee member) about how the Victorian and national star rating systems differ.
