Lighting Maldon

Posted on 1 October 2007 by e-news

In the month of September 2007 the Maldon Community changed over its old wasteful incandescent globes for energy saving compact fluorescent light bulbs.

The Maldon community changed 8,522 light globes in 447 households in 5 weekends in a partnership between the MASG Tarrengower branch, the Justice Department, Easy Being Green, the Maldon Community Bank, Maldon Football & Netball club, Maldon CFA, and the Castlemaine SES.

Talk about a ‘can do’ spectacular achievement.

Some of the money raised by the community groups in this project will be put towards providing solar Photovoltaic panels on Maldon community buildings.
