 Taradale Mineral Springs Festival

Sunday 13th March 2011 – 10am – 4pm

Mineral Springs Reserve, Taradale

If you are looking for a relaxing day of local tastings of fine wine and cuisine, then don’t miss the Taradale Mineral Springs Festival on Sunday 13 March.  Taradale is an idyllic country oasis, located on the Calder Hwy between Kyneton and Castlemaine.

There will be something for everyone including handcrafted local wines and local produce including olives, oils, preserves, puddings and lots more.  There will also be plenty of food to go with yum cha, pancakes and bbq delights among many.

The Taradale Mineral Springs Festival is an occasion not to be missed with entertainment for the whole family including live music, whip cracking, vintage cars, 2-day art exhibition and a range of free children’s activities including jumping castle, face painting and a youth activity bus.

As a growing trend towards sustainability, the Taradale Mineral Springs Festival is proud to announce that the Wash against Waste (WAW) trailer from the Mount Alexander Sustainability Group (MASG) will be used at the festival. The WAW trailer will help reduce the amount of waste food, packaging and plates/cups going to landfill by providing food stalls with access to reusable crockery. The crockery will then be washed by community volunteers and returned to the stall holder.  Decreasing waste will ultimately save energy and reduce the carbon output of the festival.

Sponsored by Mount Alexander Shire Council, Yarrabee & Castlemaine Stone Solutions, Taradale Wine & Produce and Paul Cochrane Electrical, the Taradale Mineral Springs Festival is on Sunday 13th March, 10am-4pm. BYO picnic blanket and basket to fill.  For event enquiries call (03) 5423 2302.
