So much local action in one room! Thanks to everyone that came down to the Castlemaine Senior Citizens Centre on the 29 June, to discuss strategies and to get more involved in what is a very important movement that is happening locally:
A few announcements:
- Boomerang Bags are officially launched in our Shire.
- Plastic Bag Free Castlemaine are currently running a customer survey which will help the campaign move towards its goal.
- MASG has had its final design meeting before construction begins on the Next Generation Wash Against Waste Trailer.
- The Loddon Mallee Waste Recovery and Resource Group have released a regional implementation plan.
- The Mount Alexander Shire Council are offering discounted compost bins to help reduce and transform food waste, with a film screening of ‘JUST EAT IT’ 7.00pm on Thursday 27 July at the Ray Bradfield Room, Castlemaine.
We will keep updating this page – so send us any links, projects, or ways you are reducing waste in your home, school or business.
